Cyclone Adds to Bangladesh's Uncertainty

The cyclone that battered Bangladesh's southwest coast is the biggest challenge the country's military-backed government has faced since seizing power and could delay the much-anticipated elections that were to restore democracy. Tropical Cyclone Sidr killed more than 3,200 people, left tens of thousands homeless and destroyed crops that could have produced nearly 1 million tons of rice in this impoverished nation.
